Just after 3 a.m. Monday, a tragic incident occurred in Charlestown, Boston. Boston Police responded to Dexter and Alford streets, outside the Encore casino, following a report of a pedestrian struck by a car. The vehicle involved in the accident fled the scene, leaving the victim injured and in critical condition.

Police Investigation and Traffic Impact

Authorities have confirmed that the victim was pronounced dead at the scene after 7 a.m. As a result of this incident, traffic in the area is heavily impacted and being rerouted. Boston Police Department (BPD) is urging motorists to seek alternative routes to avoid further congestion.
