Tiger Woods & Son Charlie’s Optimistic 2024 Outlook at PNC Championship

Tiger Woods Shows Positive Signs in Recovery from Ankle Surgery

Tiger Woods, the legendary golfer, is making progress in his recovery from ankle surgery. Woods recently competed in the PNC Championship pro-am in Orlando alongside his son Charlie, and he was able to walk all but one round without experiencing any pain in his ankle.

Positive Steps Forward

Although Woods has been dealing with pain in other areas, his ability to walk and play without ankle pain is a promising development. According to the Associated Press, Woods stated, “We’ve been working out hard, been able to recover. We’ve been training every day, which is great. It’s been nice to knock off a lot of rust and some of the doubt that I’ve had because, quite frankly, I haven’t hit a shot that counted in a long time.”

Future Plans

Woods participated in two tournaments this year, the Hero World Challenge and the PNC Championship. Looking ahead to 2024, he hopes to play in a tournament each month. His plan is to start with the Genesis Open in February and continue from there.

Woods has his sights set on several prestigious tournaments, including The Players Championship, the Masters, the PGA Championship, the U.S. Open, and the Open Championship.

Belief in His Abilities

Despite his injury and limited playing time, Woods remains confident in his skills. He believes that with practice, he can still perform at a high level. “I can still hit the golf ball. I can still chip. I can still putt,” Woods stated. However, he acknowledges that putting it all together for 72 holes is the challenging part.

Woods underwent ankle surgery to address post-traumatic arthritis resulting from a car crash he was involved in back in 2021. Since the accident, he has only participated in six events.

As Woods continues his recovery and prepares for a return to competitive golf, fans eagerly await his comeback and hope to see him back on top of the leaderboard.
