9-Year-Old Boy Found Safe After Houston Regional Amber Alert
HUMBLE, Texas (KTRK) — A 9-year-old boy who was the subject of a Houston Regional Amber Alert has been found safe, according to local police.
Disappearance and Search Efforts
King Davenport was last seen on Wednesday, just before 4 p.m., when he got off the school bus at an apartment complex located in the 600 block of Wilson Road in Humble. He ran away from his mother, triggering a search operation. The Amber Alert was issued around 8 p.m. to help locate the missing child.
Safe Return
Approximately an hour later, authorities canceled the Amber Alert after King was found safe. Police located him at a residence near US-59 and Aldine Bender, which is approximately six miles away from where he was last seen.
The details regarding the individuals present at the home and their relationship to the 9-year-old boy remain unclear.
