In-N-Out Opens 400th Location in Meridian, Idaho

After 75 years of business, the famed hamburger joint In-N-Out has opened its 400th location in Meridian, Idaho, making it the first In-N-Out in the state.

Expansion Across Multiple States

In-N-Out started with its first location in Baldwin Park, east of Los Angeles, and has since expanded to various states including California, Arizona, Nevada, Utah, Texas, Colorado, and Oregon. The chain has plans for further expansion in New Mexico and Tennessee. Just last week, In-N-Out opened its 399th store in Orange County’s San Juan Capistrano.

About the Idaho Location

The Idaho location of In-N-Out opened on December 12. The restaurant is expected to employ around 80 workers with a starting wage of $17.50 per hour. It features a drive-thru lane, indoor seating for 84 guests, and an outdoor patio seating area for an additional 30 customers.

Community Partnership

In a press release, In-N-Out announced that the new Meridian location will partner with the Boise Rescue Mission to distribute essential supplies to those experiencing homelessness in the area. This partnership reflects In-N-Out’s commitment to giving back to the communities it serves.

Celebrating 75 Years

To commemorate the chain’s 75th anniversary, In-N-Out’s current President and CEO, Lynsi Snyder, who is the granddaughter of founders Harry and Esther Snyder, recently released a book titled “The Ins-N-Outs of In-N-Out Burger.” The book offers readers a firsthand look into the multigenerational family-owned business, featuring behind-the-scenes photos, stories, and insights into the family’s Christian faith, which has played a significant role in shaping Snyder’s leadership of the company.
