Solomon, who was recently diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia, vanished while on a trip with his family on Royal Caribbean’s Icon of the Seas. The former critical care nurse had disembarked from the ship in Cozumel, Mexico, and disappeared shortly after. His wife noticed his absence when she came out of a restroom break and he was nowhere to be found. A search and rescue operation was launched, and local authorities received a call from a taxi driver who claimed to have picked up a tourist matching Solomon’s description. The search efforts have so far been unsuccessful, and the distressed family is seeking assistance from the public.
Solomon’s daughter, Savanah Miller, spoke about her father’s condition, stating that he sometimes says odd things and behaves erratically due to his dementia. She mentioned that he is unable to process information in the same way as others. Miller flew to Mexico to help in the search for her father and expressed her hope of finding him soon.
The search has focused on the area surrounding Isla de la Pasión, but Solomon has not been located. Local police reported a possible sighting of him wandering around the urban area.
