Deadly 3-Alarm Fire Strikes Cambridge, Massachusetts
Cambridge, Mass. – In a tragic incident, a 3-alarm fire claimed the life of one person in Cambridge on Tuesday morning. The fire broke out in a first-floor apartment of a 4-story brick building on Chester Street, prompting a swift response from officers.
Cambridge Fire Chief Thomas Cahill confirmed the fatality, with firefighters discovering the deceased individual inside the structure. Multiple rescues were carried out to ensure the safe evacuation of residents, with an estimated 30 to 40 people displaced by the fire.
Fortunately, only one firefighter sustained minor injuries and is expected to make a full recovery after being taken to the hospital.
